Fall means the dinner-rush panic is back — and Costco has quietly stocked the aisles with everything you need to beat it. One Sunday trip, a couple of hours in the kitchen, and your weeknights basically run themselves. Here’s the Costco fall meal-prep game plan that has our deal-hunting hearts racing.

The Sunday Anchor: Braised Beef That Does the Heavy Lifting

Start with the deli’s Kirkland Signature Braised Beef with Yukon Mashed Potatoes. The Takeout reports it runs about $7.89 a pound, roughly $25 for a package of around 3 pounds — and it’s a sous vide beef braised in red wine, ready in under an hour. That works out to about $5 to $6 per serving, which beats most delivery apps by a mile.

“The flavors are spot on, done in under an hour, it’s good.” — a Costco shopper on Reddit

Fair warning: not everyone is sold on the price. One shopper grumbled that half the package is potatoes. Our take? Stretch it with a side of roasted veggies and you’ve got a cozy fall dinner and leftovers for lunch.

The Protein Pasta Play

Next, grab the Costco-exclusive Brami Protein Pasta four-pack — two boxes of fusilli and two of curly macaroni, with a suggested retail price of $10.99, per Baking Business. Brami says it has 70% more protein, 25% fewer net carbs and triple the fiber of traditional pasta, made with Italian durum wheat and lupini beans. Cook a big batch Sunday and use it two ways: hot with marinara and Italian sausage early in the week, then chilled as a pasta salad with olive oil, cherry tomatoes and basil later.

Fill the Gaps With Heat-and-Eat Helpers

A prepared meal or two keeps Wednesday-night chaos in check, and the $4.99 rotisserie chicken shreds into bowls, quesadillas and salads in minutes. For something sweet, a slice of the $16.99 pumpkin bar cake makes a week of desserts.

The Sunday Game Plan

One fall meal-prep guide from MOJO Sales & Branding pegs a big Sunday haul at roughly $120 to $150 for 35-plus meals, or about $3.50 to $4.30 each — keep in mind those are the guide’s estimates, and prices vary by store. Here’s how to make it work:

1) Shop with a written list — our 5-minute grocery list trick helps you skip the impulse buys. 2) Pop the braised beef in for dinner while you prep. 3) Boil the pasta, portion it into containers, and shred your chicken. 4) Label everything with the day you’ll eat it.
