Yes, you read that right — a croissant and a donut had a baby, it’s bite-sized, it comes 20 to a box, and the internet cannot handle it.
The find comes courtesy of CT Bakery, the same folks who’ve been quietly supplying warehouse clubs and grocery chains with next-level pastries for years. Instagram account @costcobuys spotted the treats first, and within hours the comments section turned into a full-on group chat of “take my money” energy.
What’s Actually in the Box
Here’s the breakdown: a 24-ounce box holds 20 mini donuts, split evenly between two flavors — classic glazed and cinnamon sugar. Each one keeps that laminated, buttery croissant texture (all those flaky layers!) but gets shaped and fried like a donut, Cronut-style. Price tag? Somewhere between $9.99 and $10.89 depending on your location, which works out to well under a dollar per donut. Try finding that math at a donut shop.
If the format sounds familiar, that’s because it basically is — pastry chef Dominique Ansel invented the original Cronut back in 2013, and it broke the internet then too. Costco just made it snackable, shareable, and shockingly affordable.

One shopper in Plain City, Ohio, wrote simply, “Bought them today… they are awesome.” Food reviewer The Grocery Lady gave them a solid 3.5 out of 5 in her June taste-test roundup, praising the doughnut smell and flaky layers while noting the glazed version “tastes like a glazed donut” but “could use a little something” in the flavor department inside. Translation: the outside is the star of the show, and honestly, that tracks for a $10 box of mini pastries.
Worth noting: Costco doesn’t bake these in-house (aside from a few lucky locations in Mexico). CT Bakery handles production, the same way it supplies specialty donuts to chains like Kroger and Fairway Market. So far the mini donuts have been spotted at roughly 144 warehouses, mostly across the East Coast and Midwest — if your local Costco doesn’t have them yet, keep checking, because the rollout is still expanding.
